Fun Facts

1) Frederick wrote two autobiographies after his first biography was written, "My Bondage and My Freedom" and the third one was titled " Life and Times of Frederick Douglass"



2) He helped minister to Haiti from 1889-1891



3) Frederick Douglass did not learn to read until the age of 15



4) Frederick's first job in Baltimore was a caulker.



5) Frederick's first book that he every bought was called the " Colombian Orater" that contained famous speeches.



6) The " North Star" was renamed "Frederick Douglass's Paper" in 1849


7)When Frederick traveled to England he met people that helped him buy his freedom so that he could travel back to the United States
